MLM – Lead Generation 101: First Things First

This series is dedicated to the new marketers on line who discover a world of possibilities but aren’t sure where to begin.
As network marketers recognize the reality that the Internet can be their playground a few rules are in order… Leave it to the teacher to spoil the fun… but if you really want to rock your business on line you must stay FOCUSED. Your number 1 goal is to generate laser targeted leads specific to your business opportunity. I know you’ve been taught to share the business with everyone… Stop it! Now. Sorry, there is no way to be polite about this… you have been brainwashed far to long for that. Here’s the deal. Every MBA program will teach its business graduates how to market. Network Marketing, MLMs, or Direct sales companies teach the opposite. You’ve heard there is a 97% failure rate. That’s one big fat elephant in the room. You’ve made the decision to lead by example or you wouldn’t be reading this so, congratulations! There are only two types of people you want to present your business to: 1. People who have purchased the same type of business before 2. People who have owned a business and are looking for new possibilities To accomplish this you need a system. You want your method of operation to be easily duplicated. When a novice joins your team a great system will take them step-by-step in such a fashion that they cannot fail. At the same time you want a system that opens the door for the creative juices of your experienced sales force or master marketers. This will require that the novice really stays FOCUSED after choosing the marketing method that works best for them. Step 1. Landing Page – Sales Page – Capture Page A landing page is a single page that presents your lead in. A lead in is what you are using to lure your prospect, the bait on your hook. Oh, I’m sorry, am I being rude. Seriously, you must offer something to your “Ideal Prospect” that you know they want or they need. This something must be inexpensive or even FREE. That’s right FREE! Your objective here is not to trick anyone. You want to build relationships and offer services of VALUE to your ideal prospect.
